First Code Academy’s AppJamming Summit

First Code Academy's AppJamming Summit, features 15 new apps by top young app development talents in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region. First Code Academy (FCA) is a leading education institute in Asia that teaches kids coding courses and develop curriculum for K-12 students to learn not just coding skills, but computational thinking. The goal is to empower digital natives to become creative leaders in the digital era, for their future career and for driving social change. FCA hosts AppJamming Summit every year to celebrate the regional youth talents in software development and promote more interests in teens and pre-teens to create with technology. The Finals Finals on April 18 will feature 15-20 finalists from the region to showcase their apps. Last year, 2 AppJamming teams were selected to present in the global App Inventor Summit organized by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston. For this years summit, we have so far received a great level of interests in students around HK and the region submitting their apps to compete. In addition to finalists presentation, the Finals on April 18 we are also inviting different voices in the community, including students, technology industry professionals as well as parents who value technology education to share their perspectives and experiences. Miss Joey Lam, Deputy Government Chief Information Officer at OGCIO will be our opening speaker and head of judge that day.
